So I know that we did have a Dalek story early on in series 7. I dunno what was up with my mind, yesterday. I must have blotted out AOTD somehow. How that happened, I don't know.

Oh I would love to see Davros again, but I can wait and it will be so special when he does appear. Beats the Master as the ultimate enemy for me. I just love his rants and his shouty voice. Such a cool idea.
I, Davros is one of my favourite Big Finish stories.
A bulleted list is patronising. A desperate attempt to validate their post and their argument.
So you are saying bow down to you and the other usual posters and they will be nice to me? No thanks. I will speak to them as they speak to anyone outside their circle.
Fair enough! Your choice. If you want to believe there is some sort of gang who jumps on outsiders, I'm obviously not going to change your mind.
We will have to agree to disagree that smiddlehurst's post was patronising.

Listen to yourself - "a bulleted list is patronising"?!
It's just a way of organising and presenting things concisely. To read anything more than that into their use is, frankly, absurd and not a little paranoid.
Every time some of us here happen to disagree with some of your opinions you resort to this clique fantasy.
To return to the point of this thread: It can work, and has in the past. The only proviso is that no story ideas can be posted if the creatives are to be protected from lawsuits over plagiarism.
The nature of some fans though is that they really want the inside track to the creatives on the show to get their ideas made. If they really believe in themselves they should go all out to earn a job in the industry and do it for real. Who knows, if they start now and they really are good enough, they could be show runner in, say, ten years.

That last paragraph is spot on. I think people forget the work, creativity and yes, genius it takes to get to the top of your game like Moffat, RTD and even the other contributors like Murray Gold and the effects specialists. It takes graft and perseverance and a million other things. As such it deserves respect. Because it isn't something just anyone can do. So it is all very well spouting forth on a forum but is lazy and means nothing ultimately. You want Doctor Who to have your ideas in it? Do what Gatiss did. Do what Moffat did. Do what Neil Gaiman did. Don't just join an internet forum.

Oh please. You pretend it doesn't exist, it is one of the worst forums for it.
Not a patronising bulleted list? 'The Fans' at the start of each line, you know just in case people forgot. The whole list was written with an attitude of them knowing better than anyone else.
I am done arguing about it. I have zero interest in polite posts or everyone being lovely, I have no problem with blunt arguments. But here it only ever happens when it is somebody outside the usual group.
'some of us'. Please, you even speak for the group mentality.
How else could I refer to other posters on this forum?
For the last time, because I'm sick of the accusations stemming from your all too obvious paranoia, neither I, nor anyone else I know here is part of any clique.

You're paranoid. There are people who sometimes agree with each other, people who usually agree with each other and people who almost never agree with each other. That's it.
So stop replying? Or does the last word or a desperation to be seen posting by the rest of your clique mean that much to you?
*sigh*
*all a bit*

Now you really are being just a bit too nasty for my taste and exhibiting distinct troll-like behaviour. You are welcome to have the last word. Goodbye.

That was hardly nasty.
When I have every poster in here jumping on me because I had an argument with their friend, your only choice is to be defensive.

On a normal forum, yes, not here. A hotbed of bullying that gets turned a blind eye to.
I've had loads of flack for some of my opinions on here (don't mention The Big Bang ). I don't take it personally.
And, in fact, my biggest "friend" on here, sadly (to me) no longer with us, disagreed with me on almost every point.
I'm sure if you just post your opinions without making nasty remarks about other posts you will find that shortcrust is right.
My point though. My 'nasty' remarks are picked up on, your 'friends' ones are ignored.
It happens time and time again. Until you end up with posters like me who are automatically on guard and defensive or posters who just lurk because they are too intimidated to post.
I am a member of a lot of forums, as most of us are, and recognise posters on here who act totally different to how they act on other forums.
Those celebrities who occasionally pop up talking about how the DS forum is a vile place and the people are judgemental and horrible, I can see their point. It is a very intimidating and closed group. Not welcoming to any outsider.
So here we go, I will do this one thing... I am sorry if I am defensive and take SOME posts the wrong way. But a year of putting up with this crap, it makes you that way on here.

And I apologise if I have seemed to pick up on your posts rather than anyone elses. If I have done so, it was entirely unconsciously - I have no personal animosity towards you at all.
Please believe that if I comment on your posts in future, to agree or disagree, it is as an individual and not as part of a clique.
......erm....Whats Firefly?? Never seen it before, and vaguely heard of it but to answer your question, unless you've already guessed the answer....and you have, I can tell.....is NO
And just to get the right tone of severity here...........:p

Fans are the very last people producers should take note of. That way lies madness and cancellation. We've only to look at JNT to see what happens when producers pander to fans.

Why would this outrage Moffat fans? I am a Moffat fan as are many who have already posted saying they don't want fans interfering. Not sure what your point is.
I may well be outraged by the sweeping generalisation that I'd be outraged, and also that fans of Stephen Moffat would want to run the show. I wouldn't, and if I did I would have picked qualifications to match.

Sorry! I forgot about that. It wasn't all that, though. They didn't try attacking the Doctor every second. I prefered VOTD. That was better.
We still need Davros back, though. I still would like to know what has happened to him.
I remember watching this on YouTube, about a month or so before the series came back.

There's just no reasoning with some people.

Look, The bulletpoints weren't patronising me thinks, but 'The Fans' did come across as a bit iffy (Us fans may have been better).
Just try to understand what the chap is saying, and simply say, "No, I disagree because blah blah blah"
OR
"I agree".
People will differ here and although I haven't been here as long as others, I don't think there is a clique.
Certainly a core group of posters but that's not to say they all agree with each other. The forums wouldn't last long if we all did.
Just agree to disagree......and jump on someone else
But not me......look, shiny

OK. Shiny. :)
Hear hear. Leave it to the professionals.
Cue outrage from Moffat fans.
