Big mistake IMO. Moffat is going to outstay his welcome. Like him as showrunner but time for him to go.

The people that hate you continuing to hate you is not a good incentive to leave. The man doesn't have to go anywhere, it's his job.

It was Russell T Davies's too but he left after four series and a few specials. Oh, and JNT's and look what happened there.

I don't see anyone stepping forward to be the showrunner,(looks around:D) so can understand why he is staying on for another series, I'm sure he has so many ideas to make Doctor Who anew but with all the essentials thrown in.:D

    I would.

But they'd never hire me anyway because I'm not a professional writer and so I don't have any professional screenwriting/showrunning experience.

There is just no self awareness with you is there!? I'm starting to find it quite endearing. You keep reaching for that rainbow, you!

Having read the article, where it refers to 'Listen' as SM's latest episode, it could of course be possible that the journalist is referring to Series 9 and things have got a bit lost in translation? Just putting it out there...

Have you submitted your idea of making a feature film of Doctor 9 running away from a fireball, as used in the trailer? I'm sure that will get you the gig :)
