If they are not going to follow through with it then I don't see the point.
I'm not sure, but I think it might be just to give him some space away from his life where he can think about himself in a different way, and work out if he can ever forgive himself for what he's done, enough to let someone else love him and for him to think he deserves it. I'm not sure religion really comes into it all that much. But I'm not Catholic, so I'm probably massively missing the point.
To be fair, since the end of Caddie (), Callum seems to have had about 2 scenes with the rest of them. He's a faaaaaamily boy (said in the voice of Peggy Mitchell)
Yeah, I like him with Lacey as well. They just need to eject the Ozzie Creeper. And seriously, Ash can go, when she realises that Brodie's psychology notes didn't give her the insight she needed to identify her boyf was a cheating paedo.

Yeah. She could work out that Brendan created a whole fake life looking at things lying around, but she can't work out that her Mum is trying and her boyf is a compulsive liar/creep.
Which is funny, seeing as when all the Students joined, she was the most bearable and now I can really do without her. Is she even a student any more?
I'm going to join the 'I really enjoyed that episode' corner. I loved it. Even Daisy was kind of cute.
Also, the rest of it was better than usual, I really do like Martha and Maxine and Mitzeee was good too
And praise be to Jesus, Brendan looked hot
I agree with everything you just said here. Except the BIB. She was kinda screechy and odd, so cute was out the window. But my God did Brendan look lovely so it made up for it!

I've never really liked her tbh. The only time I could bear her was in the scenes with Brendan. Make of that what you will
So many things happened and no one mentioned PA before...
Cherly did not ask herself when his son nearly dead and Pa did not come to see and his grandson Declan? ....and what about NANA ?

Yes, this is how I see it as well (as another non-Catholic)

Ah now you see I liked her slighty wonky glasses and forthrightness. He wasn't getting away from her and her probing questions:cool:
Oh god, Carmel's nun storyline. But it brought us Father Francis and his zumba hips, so there's always a silver lining.
Hi! I quite liked their mad little sl.
I do find it funny that if Brendan stays there he'll be hearing all the McQueens dirty secrets, they seem to be the only ones other than him with any faith in HO
ETA - Brendan's line about his father being pure evil made me feel all I just want to hug him

They are all, in some ways, tarts with a heart haha.

I kind of liked the Fake Dancing Priest as well. :D
I don't think many of the McQueens are regular attenders, so they're probably OK. Brendan was doing some epic pillar lurking tonight though.
I know, I really wondered if he'd start talking about what his Dad did. I wish he'd tell Father Des. I must admit I got a bit mushy hearing Des talk about his love for his wife, and thinking Brendan might be thinking of Ste the same way.
Yes I'm definitely with Sarah. Brendan and Father Des just worked for me. He was calm and it allowed Brendan the chance to open up a little. It wasn't overly sentimental, FD was just the right amount of sympathetic without being patronising.
Now ignore all this but I'm just catching up with the Doug stuff from earlier.
If you could go back to the beginning of the Stug friendship, what would you have done with Doug this year?
I know you want his brother there for him, and just having seen OUaT, I still say the guy who plays Hook on it would have been perfect for the role.
I would have had Doug and Ste remain friends, and if Lynsey wasn't to die, then obviously I would have gone in that direction. Failing that yes, his brother would have been perfect. And that's a good choice
Even after the Stug stuff, I want Doug completely apart from all of that, and to have some family stuff for him.
How much sympathy you have for He Who Shall Not Be Named.
I wouldn't say I sympathise as such, I'm under no false allusions why he's doing this. I'm not really angry at him for it either because he's obviously making a huge mistake, and I can forgive him that, after everything he's been through and let's be honest, he's never really seen the good in Brendan like we, Cheryl and Ste have. Also, I'm glad they aren't going down the preachy 'yes Doug is right to do this!' route because actually, no, he isn't. Saying that, Brendan and Ste are no saints so I'm not going to judge Doug too harshly. He's jealous and he's clinging to Ste because he does love big and it's not going to work out for him, and I feel sad for him, not because I want him to have Ste, but because I want him to realise he doesn't need all of this to be happy. He can find someone who loves him completely, and vice versa.
And also yes, Doug's popularity has soared. 600 followers when we only had about 100 before? But I want Doug to be appreciated like I appreciate him, as a character. And I hope once Stug is done, that will continue.

BIB - Myra has done cleaning or something before now - isn't that voluntary and because she's part of the congregation
The pillar scene was lovely. Emmett really did look so lovely tonight - I loved the sit still and shut up comment from Des, I agree I think that Brendan needs to listen for his inner small voice
Oh yes, "I loved her too much" - awwwww
You know some folk are complaining they're turning Brendan into a puppy, I don't agree, but also I don't care. If we haven't got him for much longer I want to see him happy, with Ste and putting some of his demons to bed
Comments
There was a long close up of his face tonight and I wasn't actually sure it wasn't a cardboard cutout, nothing behind the eyes at all.

I think she's meant to be, but we never see any of them at HCC any more, so it's hard to tell.
I miss the student group.
Let's just hope it doesn't last as long as that did.
Anyway enough negative whining from me, a nice hot bath and an early night calls.

Ha!
I completely agree.

Oh and also. WHY DOES NO-ONE ELSE LOVE HIS LAZY EYES!
His arms.
I was finding it so hard to pay attention, I just couldn't stop staring at him.
Now ignore all this but I'm just catching up with the Doug stuff from earlier.

I always think I can't possibly love him more than I do & then he always does something to increase my devotion.
BIB: Oh, I did too. I really liked that bit.
I remember reading something about the bigger the loop earrings the bigger the tart's heart. It made me laugh

Oh lickle, lickle Daisy.
She was perf, you haters can go suck a hairy toe ~
