Clever new apps

Hey all, Can anyone recommend any good time saving/nice looking/clever apps that may be popping up? I use iOS and BB so anything across those platforms. I'm particularly interested in news aggregation tools such as Feedly or Flipbook, or even Quora.

I used to have 'a guy' for hot app tips but he's gone dry. Thanks in advance!
