I know this is like been out for like ever but ya have to listen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eaNc0PrSsoY It's Touch Me by Rui De Silva.

OK the story is....I was out this weekend, and was kareoke, and ya get they usual tripe, but then this girl came on and started with these beats and then this song, everyone stopped talking and turned to watch, as she sang on, everyone was just dancing (even the lil dj man/controller who is so gorgoues but his lil dancing has to be the most memorable thing about it all) its like her singing and the song itself drew us all in, i just felt pulled in, and everyone getting it in unison, best 4 minutes of my life...

Now i can't stop listening to the song, although i loved the girls version more and atmospherrrrre.

Anyways have y'all got a lil story to share or similiar experience!!!!

Every time it kicks into that killer riff, I just think ''Yeah, this is it''. A song still very relevent to this time too.:)

I've got too many choices going around my head, but critically my vote goes to one of these masterpieces:

    Maybe I'm Amazed, Paul McCartney
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cm2YyVZBL8U

You Really Got Me, the Kinks
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvyDWGF290M

    Let it Be, the Beatles
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEogJacjLTE

    Stairway to Heaven, Led Zeppelin
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Q7Vr3yQYWQ

And just for good measure and for laughs, a bonus track:

**** bad romance, there's no lyrics!!!

All TOmorrow's Parties by The Velvet Underground is so overlooked! it's a masterpiece!

Man Down is just beyond EPIC! on RIhanna's LOUD album! proper tribal and HUGE in so many ways....but then again so is the album itself!

Sky Fits Heaven on Ray Of Light is my favourite song of all time from the HUGE album. But then again there's so many to select really! it's a defining song!

    Hyperballad by Bjork is HUGE.

The Chain!!!! by Fleetwood Mac :)

Mine just HAS to be Who Knew by Pink <3 The pure emotion and power in her voice o that last chorus has me every listen. I can never listen just once, it has be two, three or more times. I could honestly listen to it forever and ever non-stop, it is just so amazing <3

Can't argue with any of these which are far better than the mass produced autotuned rubbish we get today .

    I would add though:

    Wild Horses ~Rolling Stones

Wish You Were Here ~Pink Floyd

    Sweet Child O Mine ~ Gun's ' N' Roses

    Imagine~ John Lennon

What do you mean? Last time I checked there were verses and a chorus at least. I know you don't like GaGa but that is a really bizarre statement to make.

Bad Romance is an amazing song, but to say it's the best song ever is a massive overstatement.

I'd go for 'Wuthering Heights' by Kate Bush

    Best song ever?

By far the most perfect little piece ever made.....

    Stina Nordenstam - Little Star.

Good to see somebody mention Future Sound Of London ;)

    Bad Romance? Seriously?

It's definitely Gaga's best and I like it, but saying it's the best song EVER is hilarious.

My favourite songs ever (I have a lot) are probably:
In My Life - The Beatles
    Somebody to Love - Queen

Nowadays I listen to a lot of crap though. I love Beyonce, Rihanna, Florence & The Machine, a lot of mainstream stuff. But the oldies will always be the best. Back when it was the music that mattered - not style over substance.

I disagree that it's her best song EVER. Some of her unreleased stuff is much better.

Then why did you say it's the best song ever then?

Because I presumed that we were only counting released songs.

The thing is this is all subjective - what is the best song ever? Who knows? People will always have their own ideas- there's no right or wrong answer.
