The only award I'm interested in is Best Regional Mexican Music Album (Including Tejano).

Can't wait to see who wins it this year. So exciting!

Ive never heard brave, just youtubed it there, WOW, Roar is a total rip off, not suprised though, Katy should expect that working with Dr. Luke

Katy knew exactly what she was doing. When Brave was released Katy tweeted Sara to tell her how much she liked the song, then a few months later Roar is released.

Really happy to see Sara get an AOTY nomination and Lara also! I'm surprised that JT hasn't been nominated for more...

Was Kanye eligible for anything?? Has he been nominated? Imagine the rants if he wasn't!!!

Overall I am happy with nominations. I do prefer the Grammy awards to Brit Awards because the respect given to all genres of music (well most as some categories have been deleted or merged in the last couple of years). I tend to listen to songs/albums by the nominated artists particularly in specialist genres like new age, jazz, gospel etc

I also love how it takes over a day to announce all the noms… and we are still awaiting noms in certain categories!

Artists are eligible based on releases from October 2012 - September 1st 2013

I am very pleased with the nominations for
Lana Del rey (young and beautiful, dark paradise for her vocal and the remix of summer sadness)
Sara B (her album is one of pop's best this year and very much overlooked )
Ed Sheeran as his album release last year was in between two years grammy wise
Kacey M - whose album i loved since hearing in the early part of the year. think that it deserves more nominations - its the best edgy country release in years. One of the best albums of the year.
Pink, Ryan & Mackles, Lorde, Bruno, JT, Katy (roar), daft punk noms
v pleased with the Brit noms for Jessie j, Ed S, Adele, Muse, Coldplay, Bowie, James Blake, Calvin H, Led Zep, the stones, black sabbath,
I like how seriously that the academy have taken dance and edm music this year

    I am surprised by:
how many nominations Jay Z received?
snubs for Lady Gaga - Applause (art pop was not eligible I guess)
snub for Janelle Monae ( I think album was out of time but singles should have been nominated)
the lack of noms for David Bowie, Miguel, F Ocean and Drake and Emeli Sande!
Not sure the albums of the year are completely right on point
Snubs for Paul M, Elton J, - a surprise as normally they are always nominated and their work actually deserves some nomination - very odd?
surprised by the lack of some dance/edm acts noms that I thought would have appealed to more grammy nominations in the year of serious attention to these categories i.e. zedd, calvin harris, avicii

'roar' is not a rip off 'brave' … melodically, chords structurally wise and vocally they are different songs but they do have one resemblance due to the same repeating piano bar and swing beat (which I assume was due to same production team and sara allowing it as there been a lot of love between the two artists).

Good to see Bowie nominated but doubt if he'll win anything if he doesn't attend

The Album of the year nominees is a representation of what poor albums that were released before the cut off date, imo. But i am happy for Sara B. It just goes to show your album can barely sell 200k in total and drop like a stone in the chart, and the grammys don't always go by sales and commericial success. I want to see more of this from the grammys.

Frank Ocean being nominated is no suprise, as he was nominated for several and even won 1 or 2 earlier this year

Artpop was only released a month ago, hence why it never got nominated. The cut off date is at the end of september.

As for Ms Monae, i am suprised too, especially as The Electric Lady was released a month before the cut off date.

I do hope Daft Punk secure Album of The Year with Random Access Memories. The sheer effort, dedication and wide scope of musical styles and artistry that was put into it surely makes it one of the best albums from a year that produced some excellent albums.

Plus the other nominees (apart from Kendrick perhaps) seem very safe and uninteresting.

Happy for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.

Ariana Grande got snubbed for Best New Artist.
OneRepublic snubbed. Counting Stars is a great song.
Kelly Rowland & Ciara snubbed. They both produced solid R&B albums.

The Grammys are a populairity contest.

Really hope p!nk and Nate win for Just Give Me A Reason in either category (preferably both!)

Also happy for Kelly Clarkson to be nominated in one of the country categories for her duet with Vince Gill.

Best Pop Solo Performance is supposed to be about the vocals, right? As much as I love Roar, I'm not sure how Katy is nominated for that.

Can't comment on much else as I don't listen to probably over half of what has been nominated.

People like to say that, but then forget when bieber lost out on the Grammy to Esperanza Spalding and countless other times the Grammy went tot he person who was the least likely to win if given a public vote. Hell, some of the most popular acts of the year were snubbed out of the major awards or weren't nominated at all.

I'm so happy that Sara got the nomination for the album.

I don't think she will win as I think Taylor, Bruno and Mucklemore have a bigger chance of winning because they are more popular - BUT it is a great honor that they even nominated her, I never expected that! However, this just proves that Grammy's don't take only sales into account.

I hate that many said she doesn't deserve the nomination - just because the album hasn't sold millions doesn't mean it is bad. Many critics did praise the album and it is truly a great pop album - one of my favorites of the year.

As for Best Vocal Solo performance, If she looses again't Perry I will be very disappointed as the song is almost a plagiarism of Brave, just with immature lyrics. Seriously, comparing that song with Brave - Roar sounds like nursery song, it is all about the rhyme. Brave deserves to win because of the great message it sends that touched many people - because of that I think she has a great chance of wining. If she looses to Bruno, Justin or Lorde, I won't mind, but Katy... just no...

So happy that Lorde has several nominations! The fact that she hasn't been nominated for Best New Artist makes no sense though and I also thought Ariana Grande would be nominated after her AMA win

Also, disappointing to see Blurred Lines nominated
