He was never thought about when she slept with rooney & was splashed on the papers. Or when she slept with many for money. At school you might get some parents saying awful things about his mom. If he is at secondary school yet some older kids who might watch could be saying stuff also.

I know people expected C5 BB to go even trashier and downmarket, but filling the house with prostitutes to watch them tear each other to shreds over some prostitution beef would be a new low.

You may have a point regarding the effect it may have on Helen's son, but I think the damage has already been done there. I think it was extremely unwise of her to enter the BB house considering her public profile, and then to conduct herself in the way she has. In my opinion, she really has brought everything on herself. Not much sympathy here I'm afraid.
I had no clue who she was. I vaguely recalled the threesome story when she metioned it on her VT. But i would never have recalled her name or face.

You're right. Nowadays, BB contestants have connections in the media and move in tje reality TV stars z-list circles.
Winston is a prime example. Before BB he's been in Signed by Katie Price, Take me out, TOWIE, Eastenders and Girlfriends (which was presented by Emma Willis) so when he applied for BB he'd be a dead cert to enter the house due to his connections ans the circle of people he associates with. Marc is another example. He was in Shipwtecked and X Factor and is good friends with former X Factoe finalist Marcus Collins who he's known since he was a child.
The ordinary average Joe off the street has no chance of entering the BB House nowadays.
If she does go in, I think that'll be it for me. Last year's series was brilliant, this one is just too nasty and manipulated for me.
I still don't understand why Pauline, on launch night, gave Helen the pass to the final with the line "you're going to hate me for this" - struck me as odd at the time as how could Pauline possibly know Helen was the vile harpie she has turned out to be. So it can only have been her little reveal of the in joke between her and the producers as she chose their chosen one.

I didn't have a clue who she was either as I don't tend to read about footballers etc. However, she knew that enough people knew who she was and it was bound to have consequences for her son. When I did find out about her past it didn't make any difference to me and I even had her as my favourite on launch night. I soon changed my mind though when Jale put one toe into the house and she decided to bully her. It's a shame she hasn't taken this opportunity to prove that she's a good person, despite what has been written in the press. I feel very sorry for her child - he doesn't deserve her for a mother or the fall out he'll suffer from this show.

BIB I'm not in my twenties but I'm totally with you about TOWIE, Geordie Shore, MIC etc. etc. Can't bear it and refuse to accept the people in them as celebs! >:(:D

I don't believe that Helen Wood auditioned for BB. I think she was handpicked to co-incide with the World cup and Rooney. Most, if not all of the housemates this year seem to have management/agents already, and this makes me wonder if they have all been paid like the "celeberities" get paid to be there.
I became suspicious of BBs "auditioning" process' when Crab eyes was flown over from Australia, and just "happened" to get through the auditions and win a place in the house. :rolleyes:

There's a difference between being willing to be gunged, dress as a chicken and having yourself humiliated on a show that isn't generally meant to be about opening up your past and letting it bleed all over the bloody big brother house for viewers entertainment.
AS I asked elsewhere, are they going to bring in Toya's ex-boyfriend, a bloke who will swear he porked the virginal Danielle - how far will they go in the name of entertainment and ratings?
People may not like Helen, and as a housemate I don't like her - she's hardly covered herself in glory - but that had nothing to do with what happened in her past. Of course she was chosen to go in there because of who she is, but I doubt they warned her that she would be used and humiliated because of who she is.
