Absolutely, although you do seem to need to be strangely over qualified for a job that involves sitting around watching television all day
Although it's not a patch on the "best job in the world" that was advertised in 2009

All you have to do with that is to start with "Girlfriend caught .. " and then just a two or three word explanation as to what she's actually doing. Job done

One aspect of my job is watch certain films, and it can be seriously dull. Most are the ones most wouldn't pay to see. Not surprising as most are awful or worse, boring. You can't switch it off, either.
Well, I can't. I download a digital copy directly from a sales rep or distributor's password-locked site, and my computer tracks my process of watching the film. I sometimes read DS, a book or just work on draft agreements with a few glances at a crappy film playing on my computer. This is usually enough to give me what I need to get by. I love films, but I truly loathe this part of the job because I don't have a say in what I watch.
For a job like that, you'll end up using the shortest route possible, e.g. skimming a film or whatnot with the much-beloved fast-forward button, just to pick up enough details to get away with it.
