Starburger
Wendy's Hamburgers (still going I believe, but not in the UK).

Casey Jones (found in train stations)

I wouldn't say I was a train spotter as I didn't write down numbers etc. but my dad used to take me to to the main line train station when I was a kid as I liked to watch the trains coming and going. We'd often have something to eat at Casey Jones.

Does anyone else remember when KFC was Kentucky Fried Chicken, and had the pic of Colonel Saunders in the logo. This was another childhood treat in school holidays. I remember that the colonel had a black tie, and as it was just his face, the tie looked like cartoon legs.:D

They sure were. In the school holidays, my nan would take me, my brother and mum to Herne Bay, it became a ritual, we got the Kentucky fried Chicken, and took it back to the car to eat, before spending the day in the town. I recall that her glove compartment used to get full of unused salt sachets, and those wipes.:D Oh dear I'm getting very nostalgic now, my nan is now 89 and in a home with dementia.:(

This was a quiz question recently.
I know people call it KFC for ease of use but I didn't know that officially it's now KFC and not Kentucky Fried Chicken

Yes, up until the early 90s I think, it was 'Kentucky Fried Chicken'. I always prefer to get a breast than a wing though, cause the meat is fluffy and thick:p

Pizzaland in Glasgow was where I tried my first ever pizza :D

Even when I was older I still ordered the 'junior cheese, tomato and chicken'; it was lush :D

Dartford had a Rumpy Bar. I dont know if that was a chain or a one off.

There were also 2 Wimpeys in the town centre.

Yes, they're trying to get away from the "fried" word to make us all think it's healthy :D

Do you remember when Kentucky Fried Chicken shops used to sell Barbecue Spare Ribs? They were much nicer than the chicken.

Does anyone remember Dayvilles Ice Cream Parlours in the 70's? I don't know whether they were nationwide thing or just in London but they used have 52 flavours of ice cream, it was a real treat to go there.

The Deep Pan Pizza Americano was a thing of beauty. My local one got replaced by a Frankie & Benny's.

Before McDonalds had proliferated the scene, my Nan always used to take me to Golden Egg, which later became a Poppins.
