More Windows 7 woes - Kaspersky 2010

Not going smoothly at all here. I actually found the RC more stable/compatable than the main version.
If I install the non - Windows 7 compatable version of KIS 2010 it activates successfully, but if i try to activate the Windows 7 compatable version it tells me that i can't use this activiation code with this version. Which seems a little odd.
It's not as if you can even install the Windows 7 version over the old one. Also, if i un-install the non-Windows 7 version it doesn't keep the license information - even if you ask it.
I'm lost for ideas. Anyone?
