Anyone remember Tourist Trap?

It was on channel 4. I think there were 4 nationalities of tourists staying in a hotel and certain scenarios popped up and we watched how differently they reacted.

Think they were British, American, German and Japanese.

I loved it and would love to see it again. Anyone know where I can rewatch it?

Sorry for slow reply but this just popped up in a Google search for Tourist Trap. I loved the programme too! Doesn't look like you can get it anywhere to rewatch (but if you find out otherwise, please let me know!). I was thinking, they should make another series along the same lines. 14 years on, I think they could find groups of people who don't remember the original Tourist Spy so they would not suspect anything and the experiment would not be spoilt. Maybe they could have different nationalities this time?

Wish someone could repeat this show. One of my favourite programmes.

How funny. I was literally just thinking about the series earlier this week. Thanks for the heads-up.

It's amusing how suspicous the Germans were quite early on.
Even more amusing that they suspected it was some kind of porno related goings on.

I'm sure I read somewhere it was all a set up which I guess is why it's not on the C4 archive. i could be wrong of course.

I seem to remember they had a 'plant' in each group and then set something up to do something that was incredibly antisocial/rude in each culture. Think the UK person had to jump a queue for example, but she she couldn't even do it because it was deemed as so rude, yet other cutures didn't really give a 5h1t.

The Americans didn't like it when their flag was burnt I seem to remember and the Brits were the biggest drinkers/late night people, whilst the Germans went to bed early.

Hardly surprising really but was all a bit stereotypical so could have been a fake

It's probably not in the C4 archive because they don't own it and didn't buy the rights to repeat it, hence why it's turned up on a Sky channel.

IIRC the English plant couldn't jump the queue because she felt bad, she'd been with them for a while then and knew them as friends.
I think she jumped the queue and as soon as someone said something, sarky remark, she lost her bottle and fudged it.
Germans and Japanese said nothing but grumbled and tutted, they didn't want to confront the plant.
I think the Japanese plant slowly got frozen out of his group, they were polite but tried to avoid him.

This is from memory though haven't watched it for at least a year.
