Guy Henry and Janette Manrara Dancing the Quickstep
Guy In Training: I wasn’t very good last week, but did a lot better than in rehearsals and at least I got into double figures. I really want to break 20 with our Quickstep. It’s going fairly well and I’m enjoying it. I hope everyone else does too.
Len: Well, Guy, I’m very impressed! It was a difficult routine but you always kept up with Janette, and your posture is improving! The only thing is that you need to watch the stiffness, especially in your upper body. But except for that, well done.

Claudia: You got a seh-von! Really good work, how pleased are you, Guy? Guy: I’m so pleased with that. And yes, I did get a seh-von!
Emma In Training: Our Waltz went so well last week. I couldn’t believe it when I saw the Leaderboard and it said we were third. Third! I thought there’d been some kind of huge technical c*ck up. Luckily, there wasn’t and I really want to hold that position with our Salsa. Bring on the show!
Darcey: Another very strong performance from you, Emma. Your top line is gorgeous, and you’ve really got those hips going! You did make a few little mistakes in the footwork, but I really enjoyed watching you.

Claudia: Fantastic work, Emma. Now I understand you hurt your ankle in training? Emma: I twisted it but it’s ok now.
Tenth to perform is last week’s bottom scorer, Dawn French and Aljaz Skorjanec...
Dawn In Training: So yes, we were at the bottom. I don’t mind though, at least we were reasonably close to getting half. Unfortunately, I doubt I’ll be getting much better this week, as we’ve got the Rumba; the dance of ‘love’. Seriously? Who decides these dances? What clever chap or chapess said ‘I think it’ll be a good idea to give Dawn and Aljaz the Rumba’? Goodness me.
Craig: Well darling, I’m afraid that was a bit of a dance disaster. No timing, you barely moved out there, Aljaz was doing everything, and you really need to extend your arms. Awful.

Claudia: Ouch. That really is unfair, Dawn. How do you feel? Dawn: Obviously a bit annoyed but it’s only a TV show! I’m having a great time, so I’m not that bothered.
Dancing eleventh is Jon Culshaw and Aliona Vilani...
Jon In Training: I suppose last week went well. We weren’t one of the best but we weren’t at the bottom. I’m dancing the Waltz this week, which is very elegant. I’m...not elegant. I really want to do well, but I doubt it.
Darcey: As with last week, I loved the character you brought, but the footwork really needs a lot of work. Also, sometimes your posture wasn’t as good as it could be. I still enjoyed your performance, though, so well done.

Claudia: Well we all enjoyed it Jon! Was it hard for you to be graceful? Jon: Oh, very hard! I’m not good at grace.
Annie In Training: Our Cha-Cha-Cha last week went so well, and I was really surprised by our scores. Trent was too, and because of that he’s really pushing me. The Quickstep he’s choreographed is so hard, and if I do well it’ll be even harder next week!
Craig: I did enjoy it Annie, but sometimes you really struggled to keep up with Trent. The routine was very hard, but I felt that a lot of it wasn’t in hold, and there was an illegal lift, for which I will take off points.

Claudia: Four? That was amazing! Goodness me. What do you think, Annie? Annie: I’m not sure, part of me thinks it’s Trent’s fault for putting a lift in the routine, and the other thinks it’s my fault. One of the two.
Our penultimate couple of the evening is Nathan Sykes and Joanne Clifton...
Nathan In Training: Last week was a good place to start off at, but this week I want bigger and better. The Tango is difficult, but I’m trying my best and I’m doing fairly well. Hopefully this will be our week with the judges.
Darcey: A huge step up from your Cha-Cha-Cha, Nathan. I loved the attack of the performance, and you lead Joanne beautifully. I think you could make it all way if you keep it up.

Closing tonight’s show, it’s Kirsty Allsopp and Anton Du Beke...
Kirsty Allsopp and Anton Du Beke Dancing the Rumba
Kirsty In Training: When I got those scores, I was literally stunned! My hair’s stood on their own. I never thought in a million years I’d be second and get three seven’s. It was fantastic. I’d love to keep that standard with our Rumba this week, and I’ll try my best. I’m doing it for you, Anton!
Darcey: Well Kirsty, you still have beautiful lines, but some of the moves just seemed a little bit laboured for me. Also, make sure you keep your posture. But it was still a good routine.
