Do I need a New Sky Box?

Not sure if anyone can help:-

1. Sky Box. Approx 6 years old. HD. Amstrad.
2. When you go to record something it does it fine but then wont go on and record the next episode. Even though series link is activated.
3. Looking ahead in the coming week it says all the time ' searching for listings' which is a pain.
4. I have unplugged and restarted the box so many times. No difference.
5. I Have a second box similar age but not Amstrad....on same subscription. Works perfectly....

Don't want to change the box if is as sometimes I read a Sky issue?

Just wondering if anyone else is having any similar issues?

    Probably! You could try emptying your deleted items out of your planner and doing a planner rebuild, see HERE

    Does it actually put the next episode in the planner?
    If not, it's because of the "searching for listings" issue.
    It can't add the next recording of the series to the planner because it's not finding it in the EPG!
    You're not in single feed mode on that box by any chance?

    I've been having this problem a lot lately too. Been resorting to using remote record, because the planner is often "searching for listings" on a few channels.
