Yes it was founded by Larry. The company is now known as LJ technical systems.

Thanks, just looked at their website. I have an Emma II 6502 computer and some of their matching peripherals. I never knew how Larry started until just reading.

Very interesting Alex. Where did you hear this from?

I would have thought it would make more sense to re-broadcast from Peterborough as that is closer than Sutton Coldfield. What has happened to the direct PCM line to Tacolneston? All most intriguing.

For the full audio spectrum, wide IF bandwidth is recommended. Peterborough (99.7) would suffer splatter from 99.9 Radio Norwich in Stoke Holy Cross in wide IF bandwidth, and there isn't so much near 97.9 (Sutton Coldfield), particularly as a highly directional Yagi pointing at Sutton Coldfield would lift 97.7 (Manningtree) into the noise. Well, it can't be that directional if it had Sutton knocked out by VRT Radio 2 (Limburg) from Genk, Belgium, but interference from Manningtree would be much less likely than interference from Stoke Holy Cross, as SHC is just about ten miles to the NE of Tacolneston, and Manningtree is all the way down south in Essex.

Yes, that's all super, but I have it from two reliable sources, that Taccy's RBS feed is NOT, nor ever has been Sutton Coldfield. All RBS feeds are mono anyway, so SHC being 200 kHz away isn't going to cause any grief, even if Peter'b was the RBS source (which it's not)

How else were they able to get interference from VRT Radio 2 then? Unless it's Chesterfield, which has the same frequency as Egem, but that is extremely unlikely.

What makes you so sure it was VRT R2, and part of the rebroadcast signal, rather than CCI or ACI on Taccy itself ?
