Do you have any good ideas? as i don't want to eat bread everyday.

I tried cucumber today which worked fine as mini sandwiches but not the best.

Do you mean alternatives to sandwiches, or sandwiches with an alternative to the bread?

Are you ruling out all bread such as flat breads etc?

I think this may be your best option

Not so much sandwiches, but instead of toasted bread at breakfast time, I now have a toasted Rankin Irish potato farl (with some butter on) instead. They're 91% potato.

I don't really know what you could replace the bread with, except maybe wraps if you eat those? I think I'm starting to prefer wraps over sandwiches now. I always add loads of salad to make it healthy.

Then of course there's salads - my mum is low carbing at the moment and she has salads for lunch instead of sandwiches. That's obviously not a replacement for bread though, just another option for a non-sandwich lunch.

I quite often have cheese & tomato between two Ryvita. Touch of salted butter on them as well.

Hubby and I gave up bread nearly a year ago and we don't miss it at all. Our lunches are homemade soup, maybe some cous cous, pasta with hardboiled eggs & tuna and onion and sweetcorn. Today I made omelettes with mushrooms and a side salad. Very occasionally we have some crispbread but hardly ever.

We both feel so much better for giving up bread. It is just gloopy stodge really when you think about it.

The sliced, processed stuff is, but a freshly baked loaf made with natural ingredients most certainly isn't.

Deconstructed Sandwich. Just turn whatever filling you want into a meal instead.

I don't eat pasta, so it's doubtful. However, fundamentally it involves the same basic ingredients that bread does, bar the yeast, so calling bread gloopy stodge but advocating pasta instead is fekking hilarious.

I've been low-carbing for years and I do miss bread sometimes.

When I do have a sandwich I just make sure I cut the (wholemeal and seeded) bread very thinly, and pack it with filling.
That way you feel you've had sandwiches, but really used very little bread.
