Two lock ups in a row last night, one of them on the title screen:rolleyes: Then, as is normal when my sibling and I play games, we managed to find another bug when she got the Thing stuck in a hole and we had to quit the level, losing all our progress (how I hate save points rather than being able to save wherever).
We gave up for the night after that, but it does leave a bitter taste, which is probably why we haven't 100% finished the previous two games yet.
^^Hate games without proper save options. I understand back in the dark days of consoles and PCs that with limited memory, developers had to but in limited safe options, end of level etc, but nowadays there's no excuse.
I was really looking forward to this game because I've played all the other Lego games and just love the whole concept. But I have to say, I think this is the worst one for me. It just hasn't grabbed me in the way the others did. I find I do one or two levels and then turn it off because I'm a little bored.
I finished the main campaign today though, and at least I can now go and get the red bricks. It's a bit odd that you have to finish all the main levels before the red bricks are available, which is a change from earlier games.
There are two big issues that make it very annoying to play... First, the Hulk (or any big character) gets in the way if he's following you about, so you can't see what you're doing. Second, the Y button (on Xbox) is used to change characters in freeplay mode, but also used to change the Hulk into Bruce, so once you choose the Hulk you are stuck with him. I was playing earlier and ended up with both characters stuck as Hulk and Venom because their Y action turns them into another form of themselves rather than allow you to change characters. Actually this happens with Spiderman too, and possibly others.
And the races look almost impossible for my dodgy reflexes. I tried to get Iron Man through his hoops from the Helliplatform thing, and couldn't even get him through two hoops, let alone the 20+ hoops in the race. I fear I'll never get 100% on this one.
Haven't seen my wife go back into actual levels yet. She seems to be wondering around the city doing things. Looks like grand theft auto in lego.
She says she does like it. Presume she knows what she's doing.
Well, that was a palaver. The same level where the Thing got stuck and we got caught in an infinite fall loop. We had to quit out and then it just reset the level to the start instead of to the save point!
Honestly, do they have game testers these days or do they simply not care? Split screen got stuck again, too.
Is the game doing that annoying thing where on split screen the characters switch to the opposite side? Played batman 2 the other day and had marked something to go to in the open world when I noticed it'd swapped over so I had to look at the compass thing on my son's character. Also does it in LOTR. Thought they'd have fixed it by now.

Not that I've yet to encounter, no, but it does sometimes swap you out of the character you were to another one (usually when another character joins the fray) and we have spent precious moments jiggling the controls trying to figure out who had control of who.:o

Had that problem too in LOTR. I remember having to climb to reach a brick or something, and half way up I had to change character, but pressing the button to change character just swapped characters that were already in play, even when my son and I were each controlling one. To say my son was getting stressed is an understatement lol.
Completed the main storyline last night. Bit disappointed that it was mostly Avenger oriented but now we're going to farm the city and see if we can free up some fresh characters before heading back into freeplay,

The flying races are a mare, best suggestion I can make is to use the Human Torch rather than Ironman (I found it helps), don't boost as you'll never regain control in time, hold O or X for a few seconds only to adjust your height as required, any longer and they stop and rise/fall. That's the way I did it.
I'm still only on around 54% complete, largely because I know I won't finish the races, so why bother? It has really put me off.
In Lego LOTR there were three bits I couldn't do (hitting the statues within a time limit) but found it was dead easy in two player mode. Same doesn't apply to races, though.
My Lego Indy 2 game is on 99.8% too, because controlling that space ship is impossible!
Oh well. Still plenty to explore in the main hub. I keep finding areas I've never seen before, despite flying around for hours!
Still befalling the atrocious camera angles in two player mode. The hub is the worst place for it and in some cases neither of us can see our character on screen, nor the area we need to look at.
I've had to take a few long breaks out of sheer frustration.
Can someone who has this confirm if theres an invert y axis option? I really struggle to play on what's deemed as normal these days but I love the Lego games.
Lego Batman 2 didn't have the invert and was a bit of a chore.

Heh, I'm still trying to finish Lego Batman ad LOTR, so I've figuring I'll be at things for a while until inevitable frustration kicks in.:o

It is good, but strange when they want you to find a plane. Yes, let's jump off the plane landing pad and find one below instead
Also let down by the two player split screen. It used to be you could alter the direction of the split. Horizontal always works better than vertical.

awesome game! ... playing it right now on my wiiu!
(imo ... it seems 2 have a lego-city-undercover vibe about it! ... maybe its the graphical style or summit! )

Don't get me started on the races:(

The PS4 version looks better graphically
Good stuff. Any freezes on ps4 version? Ps3 was freezing bit
there is a bit of slowdown
