  It was funny when he was doing it. So many of these things appear as stills, where it may just capture the fact that he looked like he was doing it for one millisecond, but he genuinely was going for ages....

  Turns out it was 83 year old Walther Tröger, who once was the president of the National Olympic Committee for Germany.

  I thought that was very inappropriate too.
  
  It would be rather a huge co-incidence if of all the people in the audience and all the teams it just so happened that a German delegate was giving a Nazi salute to the German team due to arm problems. .
  
  Maybe he fell back to an old habit from the 1940s when he was a teenager in Nazi germany?
