Years and Years are not indie, and neither is Bronski Beat - Smalltown Boy.
When it comes to 80s indie pop, I think of a band called The Wake, and their album Here Comes Everybody. Brilliantly sad album, one that I want on vinyl. Talk about the Past.
These guys are a recent discovery for me, The Grapes of Wrath, from Canada. Misunderstanding
Orange Juice's album You Can't Hide Your Love Forever is very good.
