It would be, like, SUPERNICE of the commentators to mention every now and then-at least-how well Andy is playing and handling the situation.

Instead of, you know, focusing on the guy that's losing.

Not really too much of a surprise to see Kyrgios being picked apart by Murray. He's got talent but a long way to go.

Happy to see Muguruza has finally won a match at the US Open!

Oh dear! Andy broken to love and drops the 3rd set!

Andy quickly re-engaged after that little lapse at the end of the 3rd. Safely past Kyrgios. Nick is so all over the shop with his tweeners and what not, but Andy's too clever for that nonsense, only got to keep it neat and steady, let him play about and it's not too much trouble.

Cornet-Nara where it's at obviously, ridiculous as expected, but I fear Alize's open about to end with only a few memorable gifs left behind to remember her by.....

Berdych ought to be very attractive but I just find him physically uninteresting.

He has quite a nice body methinks?

You would kind of feel sorry for Kokk if he wasn't such a douche.

But is he or is it just is lame mate?

I haven't watched every match, but I think he's got a lot of flack because of the Kyrgios association, and he's not tried that hard to stick up for him. They are of a similar age, with similar prospects, and from the same country, so the fact they are friends shouldn't be taken as proof they share values. Despite being one of the victims of big-gob, he made a point of contacting Stan and Donna to 'clear the air', which must have been tough, and they are all apparently happy enough with each other.

I was under the impression he had a decent reputation for his attitude on tour, and was considered a harder worker than Nick.

Pleased to see Andy get through, even if he made me lose a little more sleep than I'd have liked! Dropping a set to a player of Nick's ability is not that surprising, and he definitely had a nightmare first round draw for a seeded player. We know Nick is more than capable of playing well above his current ranking, especially in big matches and against top players, even if he often plays well below it.

I wonder how the new conditions will impact any of the more delicate big name clashes. Will it help Roger vs Djokovic for example? He seems to have Murray in his back pocket at the minute.

Roger is super confident at the moment. Djokos 2 recent losses have got to effect his confidence a little. Over 5 sets Djoko still has the edge.

Think so too. Quite a lot of players changing mationality even in tennis.

No players for Bahrain and Qatar yet, but maybe just matter of time :)

Didn't bother staying up for Murray never saw him losing anyway, and he always just breezes through early rounds of slams these days

Caught up a bit this morning, Kyrgios will be some player when he gets his mentality right. Some of the shots he pulls off are exceptional

We pretty much have 3 nailed on semi-finallists tbh, but the other quarter should certainly be interesting now Kei is out.

At least with all these retirements and bizarre scorelines there's a bit of drama in the early rounds though
