Ok, I've had this game work really well on other forums but it's always gone down like a lead balloon on DS
Fear not though, the time has come to give it one more try.....
The premise is pretty simple, Poster A selects a song.....Poster B then chooses a song that is somehow connected to the first.
The connection can be anything, lyrical, musical, real life collaboration between artists, both connected by a film, whatever theres millions of connections.
Just state the name of the previous tune then >>>>> new tune with an explanation of the connection underneath.
Youtube linkys are always handy to post up as well, though if yer at work and shit it dont matter too much...
So.,,..,.,.,.,.,.,.....random kick off with.............
The Clash - Guns Of Brixton

Money - The Beatles
I Heard It Through The Grapevine - Marvin Gaye
Connection: both written or co-written by Motown songsmith, Barrett Strong...
Boris The Spider - The Who
Connection: Both were released in 1966.
News Of The World - The Jam

Forty Five E.P - Happy Mondays
Unknown Pleasures - Joy Division
Connection: Both were released on the Factory Records label.
Strawberry Fields Forever - The Beatles
Link: The former was recorded at Strawberry Studios, Stockport, which took it's name from the latter.
Little Red Rooster - The Rolling Stones
Connection: Lennon played on an Epiphone Casino on Strawberry Fields, as did Jones on Little Red Rooster.
key to the highway - little walter
connection:
the stones were named after "rolling stone" a song by muddy waters - the band of whom included Little Walter on harmonica and indeed there were rumours that little walter had toured with the stones in 1964, which were later dismissed by a representative of RS.
(little walter is the only harmonica-player in the rock and roll hall of fame, apparently.)
Anyway...
Key To The Highway - Little Walter
Stuck On You - Elvis Presley
Connection: Both songs reached #6 on the Billboard R&B chart (Key To The Highway in 1958 & Stuck On You in 1960).
John Wayne Is Big Leggy - Haysi Fantayzee
What common ground can there possibly be between a 1958 blues record and early 80's bubblegum pop? Why, Little Walter and John Wayne both shared the same first name, Marion
Let's try again...
Stuck On You - Elvis Presley (should've been called Stuck On Loo *tee hee hee*)
Thirty Years In The Bathroom - Wonder Stuff
How long Elvis would have spent there if his corpse hadn't been discovered until 2007.
The Young Ones - Cliff Richard
Connection: The Hup album contains several references to the sitcom 'The Young Ones'.
