Is it just me or does the digital audio sound odd? Both Saturday and Sunday nights' programmes. Had to switch to the analogue audio instead.

Where are you getting analogue audio from?
MOTD has had digital audio since the late 1980s.

They could be referring to the RCA red/white connectors vs optical audio. Can understand the analogue/digital reference in that regard.

While it is does not sound "odd" tonight it still sounds like a poor mix and telephone quality commentary.

Yeah but how would that fix an issue that MOTD were having?

It wouldn't because there is only one stream and converting the 5.1 AC3 audio even to 2ch stereo would still have the audio problems claimed, which i never heard BTW

It's just that the original poster seemed to make out it fixed it.

Which it did. I can only report what I heard and leave it to others to figure out why.
