I was reading the Thing again earlier. The enthusiasm and extreme appreciation just jumps out at you. A lot of it is really funny and I'm sure he's really enjoyed reading the little snippets about his family (and Ali). But most of all the high esteem we all hold him in and our high opinion of his talents just shines through. It must be great for him to see in words just how much we all enjoyed the tour. I know I've said it several times but -enormous thanks again to chosen. I can't imagine how much time it took you. You must be very proud of it.

Hope you are all good, just thought I would let you know what I'll be up to over the next few months.
So... I got back from St. Anton a couple of weeks ago and have been in the studio ever since. I’m working with writers I haven’t worked with before which is pretty exciting. As I’ve said before, I definitely wanna push the sound on the next album, so it’s cool to be working with new people on fresh ideas. I’m heading off to LA for a few weeks on Saturday to work with some AMAZING writers. I can’t say who at this stage, but I’m so excited. While I’m over there I’m going to be playing an acoustic set at the Hotel Café on 5th May. If you are local, would love to see you there. It's my first show in the U.S.!
Once I’m back I’ll be writing for a couple of weeks in the UK and then heading off to Canada for the NXNE Festival in June and then back for the Isle of Wight Festival which I know some of you guys are heading to. We’ve added a few other events to the website, a few really cool festivals and I will be playing In:Demand Live at the SECC in Glasgow too, so check it all out.

I would like one of them to be Ryan Tedder from one republic. Great band and he's a cracking writer. I think Matt and Ryan would have a great chemistry. Of course this is just my opinion! Some might hate the idea :eek:

OT For those coming to Highbarn on 6th May for the Guitar Festival - Highbarn have now put up a schedule for the day. Ben Smith and Lorenzo (and we're reasonably sure also Ali) will be playing at 5.00 pm so I'm going to book the Five Bells for a late lunch at 1.30pm. Will give us a good couple of hours for eating and gossiping before heading over to Highbarn - allowing time for getting lost, we'll want to be there no later than 4.30 I think. For those who went in October - Robert Castellani is also on the schedule for the evening gig (he was the one with fascinating technique using his guitar also as a percussion instrument!). Can't wait!!!
