Best Disney Songs

I went to see a show tonight called Disney Spectacular where they were showing you old trailers and singing songs from various films. Although The Circle Of Life from The Lion King took some beating there were a few other very good ones like Let It Go from Frozen and A Whole New World from Aladdin.

Feed The Birds is a gorgeous song.

The Sherman Brothers had the ability to write great comic songs and at then have you blubbing with a fantastic heart string puller. (Not Disney but they did the same in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with Hushabye Mountain).

As for Disney, two of the early songs are my favourites

I think every song in Hercule's is so great. I love the gospel sound, but my favourite would probably be 'I Won't Say I'm In Love' which Meg sings. I also love 'Part Of Your World' from The Little Mermaid.

I have a ridiculously long list of songs from Disney I love, but definitely have a huge soft spot for

Someday - Hunchback (by Eternal, not the All4One version)
A Whole New World
Beauty & The Beast (the Celine/Peabo version)

and there's also Illuminations: Reflections of Earth from EPCOT in Florida

That show is just one of the best things I've ever heard/seen.

Alison Krauss is the reason why "Baby Mine" from the Dumbo film is my most favorite. Go here to check out her flawless rendition of the song.

Great thread OP; Disney music is up there with the best!

All songs from The Little Mermaid and The Lion King but especially Kiss The Girl and Circle of Life.

Agreed with Urban Bassman that Sherman & Sherman wrote some amazing music and Hushabye Mountain, whilst not Disney, is one of my all time favourites.

I can't believe 'When You Wish upon a Star' hasn't been mentioned. That and 'A Whole New World' are probably the most technically masterful Disney songs.
