Ikea. I can highly recommend the Sultan mattresses - both my husband and I are over 6ft tall, and we need a good big bed! I've never had such a comfortable mattress. 25 year guarantee is good also. And their sofas - plenty under £1k, with a 10 year guarantee.

DFS's no interest credit deals do seem tempting, but I don't want to be lumbered with a crap sofa am still paying for in 3 years time, so thanks for the heads up!

Ive got a DFS corner suite and I cant find fault with it, ive had it 2 years now, the cushions are still in great condition, there are 5 of us so its not like its not well sat on. I did pay extra for decent bottom cushions, they cost me about £200 extra but they were well worth the money. Also when we moved house, I bent the clip that holds it together and DFS were more than happy to send someone out to repair it.

    They are not all bad:)
