I've kind of given up on this series of Taggart and I loved it like everyone else theres something not quite right about it just hope if it gets a new series that it finds the old spark again.
Also I hate the new theme music I want to throw things at my TV when I hear it there was nothing wrong with the orignal version and I think it added to the character of the programme. I know you have to move with the times but if it aint broke don't fix it.
I'm now trying to track down the original version on Itunes think I found it but even it still doesn't sound 100% right so still having a check about on there.

I sympathise over the theme tune - once you have a certain version in your bloodstream, the slightest variation is 100% no good!
And very, very beautiful. Nice figure too.
