In the recent years, we have seen number of movies series turning to shows.

Like Bates Motel, Hannibal. Zombieland (Which as been axed already) From Dusk Till Dawn.

There are rumors of The mist series, Another Friday 13th TV series,
The omen series, the plot sounds a lot like The Omen 3) and Upcoming MTV Scream series and just yesterday that there news Nightbreed (1990) TV series!
and almost for got there Sin City series could be on the way!

What others movie series would you like to be turned into a TV show ?

Any past TV shows you really liked that were based on a movie series?

I Just found out about Two TV show that I had no Idea they were made! (Both based on a movies)

Ferris Bueller TV show

Ferris Bueller is an American sitcom based on the 1986 John Hughes film Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

    There's been loads, of the top of my head I can think of;

    Indiana Jones
    Stargate
    Blade
    Total Recall
    War of the Worlds
    Highlander
    Star Wars
Freedy's Nightmares (Nightmare on Elm Street)
    Planet of the Apes
    Sara Connor Chronicles (Terminator)
    12 Monkeys, coming soon apparently

Personally I would have enjoyed a TV series based on the movie Stay Tuned.

Yes it's not as if it's a new concept as it has been going on for decades now

Have all been TV series before becoming films.

I assume the post is referring to live action, for which Batman is only just getting the treatment. And it's not even about Batman.

Adam West (the mayor in Family Guy) played Batman in a live action TV series years and years ago, long before the current films were made.

On the flip side, one tv series that I would love to see as a big screen blockbuster is Airwolf.

As was Bourne from Matt35's list.

Which itself was cashing-in on the popularity of the movie Blue Thunder and was launched in direct competition with the TV version of Blue Thunder.

It seems bizarre to me that anyone could be unaware of the Adam West version of Batman.

I really enjoyed that series, it was a shame that it was axed. Fortunately the producers were told so were able to conclude the story arc

As a loose sequel, I thought the TV series of 'Fargo' worked
very well? Billy Bob Thornton was ace in it, and Martin 'Usually
one - note' Freeman was pretty good too!
I recently saw the Richard Chamberlain TV version of 'The Bourne
Identity' and (possible heresy?) I actually enjoyed it much better than
the Matt Damon films! Probably because it was more or less based on
the original book, which the Damon films were not?

Which was "inspired" by the film Blue Thunder.

There was also a spin off series of Blue Thunder which was on around the same time as Airwolf, though certainly didn't last as long.
