Works for me in FF and Chrome.

Maybe your IP's DNS server has problems ??

I don't think so because all the other websites I visit are working.

Some of the websites that check whether or not if a website is up say that Wikipedia is down.

    It's working fine for me.

Have you tried via a different connection, like via a mobile network?

Try clearing your browsers cache and trying again.

It works absolutely fine for me. No problems accessing Wikipedia's homepage at all. I can also access entries on it as well.

Not working here either. Tried IE & Firefox.

Firefox says that it cannot find the server. IE says "Windows sent the request to the DNS server and the server responded that the name was unknown".

According to http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ the site is up.

If you need to access Wikipedia, you can still use the mobile version. Just edit the address to put m. after en.

I should have suggested that people who it wasn't working for change their DNS server.....if they knew how to do it. This might have solved the problem.

Just gone down for me using BT (not Infinity) although it's been fine all morning.
    Changing DNS makes no difference

EDIT: 5 minutes later and it's back

Just spoke with neighbours on BT and Virgin and was down for them too.

A few news stories are reporting it down around the world

Isitdownrightnow shows many around the world reporting it down too

Wikipedia must have been down only in some areas. It's been fully accessible for me for the past two days.
