List 5 things that have passed you by...gone over your head. Bands that everyone wets themselves about, but you think they are rubbish.... films, books, comedians, fads. (yes I am bored) :D

Mine:

Oasis - I hated their music and personalities, seems I was alone though.

Artic Monkeys - Just don't get it at all. People were going mad for them.

Al Murray pub landlord - This bloke is so popular, yet my nan is funnier then him.

Soduku - Have a word, putting numbers in a box?? People are addicted to it?? Just missed the point all together.

Mama Mia - I would rather poke my eyes out with a cocktail stick then endure this musical. Yet its the highest grossing box office and DVD film!!

:D

Perhaps you don't like jangly guitar music.

The Mighty Boosh. Do you need to be drunk/high/a student to appreciate this? I've seen a couple of episodes and I was just completely confused!

The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I love one or two of the songs but I can never get a grasp on the storyline/characters and what it's all supposed to be about/represent...

Mamma Mia. I like Abba and I like the idea of a story revolving around Abba songs but the hype surrounding the movie is out of control.

Reeves and Mortimer from the 90's. Everybody banged on about it....but to this day I never saw any of their few programmes.

Oh, I so agree! I never "got" their brand of comedy. I don't get offbeat humour in general. Does this mean I'm just thick? :D

I agree with you about Mama Mia.. I have not seen it and have no desire to see it.

I don't know why... no that is a lie ..... I do know why I can't stand it.

I saw the trailers and saw a load of people dancing about like lunatics and the cast of people pierce brosnan and meryl streep don't seem the right type of people to be in an all singing all dancing type film.

I don't like the storyline about a possible 3 dads or something.. it just sounds like a horrible awful mess of a film and I would not enjoy it.

I don't ever want to see it. Yuk! I looks gross. even posters of it look hideous.

I simply do not get it!:( I like Abba songs but I detest the idea of a film full of Abba songs unless it was about Abba.

Twitter - You just ate dinner. Great. I don't care.

Movies that think special effects and big explosions are more interesting than a plot and good acting.

Twitter seems so inane. I can't believe so many people are so crazy about it.

Celebrity chefs. (Can't stand any of them.)
Twilight. (Sweet Valley High with vampires).
Miquita Oliver. (Which is she always laughing at some 'hilarious' off-camera joke that we don't know about? Smug dullard).
Reality TV with celebrities in it. (Talentless no-marks).
The new Mini-Coopers. (I've seen Paul Weller driving his and even he can't stop them looking a bit chavvy).

Lord of the Rings ~ Tried watching it a few hundred times, but... nope. Never understood the hype.

Strictly Come Dancing/I'm A Celebrity ~ Again, can't understand the hype!

Ant & Dec/Lee Evans/Peter Kay/Ricky Gervais... Am I the only one that don't find comedians funny?!

Hollyoaks... why is this so popular?

I don't get the Mamma Mia hype either - I liked Abba in the 70s, I didn't want to see the show and I have no desire to see the film.

Oasis - never understood their hype.

Ricky Gervais - leaves me cold.

Goat's cheese - smells like damp dog with an equally unpleasant aftertaste.

Weddings - how many thousands of pounds spent on one day :confused:?

Basketball - Five tall blokes run up one end and try to score. Five other blokes go the opposite way and
do the same. The score at the end of 20 minutes or whatever is usually 120 - 118 so scoring is really difficult.

Agree Al Murray and any comedian who needs to shout

    Reality tv

My Dad says they should just start the game with each team having 100 points and play for three minutes. :D
