They have a Peter Kay repeat scheduled afterwards, which suggests that's deliberately there as something they could drop if need be. Notice they're getting the news out of the way earlier than usual for a Saturday, before rather than after MBB, because that's probably not something they'd easily be able to delay.
It will be hard to notice any genuine mistakes tonight as they like to keep some in = like the missing handbag and the camera crashing into the kitchen set
RTE has it going on for 5 minutes longer than the BBC One version but that could be due to commercials at the end of the programme
Well if it is anything like stage shows, the guy who plays Rory will just laugh the whole time and not get any of his lines out.
And BOC will go off script and start asking his daughter random questions (Who was the US President when Queen Victoria came to the throne).
With a cast that is very experienced in doing Live shows on massive Arena Tours, I would imagine they are all pretty comfortable doing the show Live in front of a TV studio audience.
My sister and her husband absolutely love this, which makes buying her christmas presents really easy. Although I don't know what I'm going to do after this christmas as she'll then have all the DVDs.

Buy them tickets to a live show and say that covers the next 10 Christmases !!

Could it possibly go on for an hour?

there is a great chance of that happening ;-)

Record it if you don't want to watch it all.
K
Should I have a team of surgeons on standby should the need arise to stitch up my sides ?
Why waste your time commenting then?
So you're going to watch it then despite clearly despising it?
Also, why mention the fact they are Irish? In what way is it relevant to how funny or unfunny you perceive the show to be?
Call it a small guilty pleasure, like Burgerking fries or Tatu.
They're all professional actors and have been working in the theatre for years
I know. I was defending them..
The odd Christmas specials are different though.
Brendan is contracted to produce Christmas specials until 2020
It is on QVC the shopping channel, they are already flogging Christmas fare
Breaking the fourth wall so often, loses the impact of doing it live, either be professional and do it justice or don't do it at all.
