 I am. Mine arrived in a box the size of a computer carrier, and it's heavy, not with contents, more gimmicks. I'm going to give it a whirl tonight but it's not a book to read in bed or anything.
I hope the DVD is better. That's due to arrive at the end of next week.
Trust Amazon to do that  That's obviously what's happened with mine then.
I am looking forward to the book but as a Les Mis fan I would
Does it include any costume drafts? (similar to those on facebook recently, the original sketches I think they're called).

I think it contains everything but the kitchen sink. Every few pages you get an envelope containing things you never knew existed.
There's plenty of costume and set sketches, but also programmes, posters, facsimiles of stuff like the original Paris programme, and heaps of publicity stuff. I just thought, how did they stuff all these things in there? It had to be done by hand.(Although I know it wasn't). Although my main thought was "even I don't want half this stuff" the actual text is interesting, there's just not enough depth in it. There's no way I'd have bought it if I'd seen it first.
Ah well, I expect there are loads of suckers like me! And I couldn't call myself aLes Mis nutter if I didn't own it.
Actually,it's a pretty good price for the loads of extras in it, even f I'll probably stuff them back in their envelopes and never look at them again. Years ago I would have had them as posters on my wall. There's a particularly nice one of Hugh Jackman! *drool*
Right. The cast is singing One Day More + I Dreamed a Dream at the Oscars. Perfect! The problem is I can't watch it live as I have to sleep in early as I have a meeting on Monday morning.

Just had to post these as there seems to be a lot of Eddie and Aaron fangirls/boys here. Amanda Seyfried tweeted this picture during their Oscar rehearsals.
I realise I'm a bit behind here, as I just saw Les Mis yesterday, but it was amazing! Loved it. I can't believe how good a singer Anne Hathaway is! And Hugh was fantastic. Great film!
It doesn't surprise me at all that Anne Hathaway is going to be singing I Dreamed A Dream. It's the one performance that everybody is talking about, it makes total sense. I'm looking forward to seeing One Day More too. I thought they'd sing Do You Hear The People Sing.

One Day More makes more sense as literally everyone gets their own little bit. Not all of them sing Do You Hear the People Sing in the movie, even in the finale.
And yes, Anne doing IDAD isn't a surprise. Will be particularly poignant if she wins before she sings!

I know this probably won't be received very well, but I went with an open mind but found it extremely disappointing.
I thought the female characters were a lot better than the male ones, Russell Crowe was dire both in acting and singing, but the worst thing was the sung dialogue. Some of it was so rhyme at any cost I just found it funny.
I think the only thing that could have made it any more cheesy was if Anne Hathaway had made a miraculous return to health at the end. I have plenty more entertaining chick flicks on the shelf.
To each his own I guess, my friend was in tears and I was grateful we went on the 2 for 1 night so I didn't waste too much money.
No doubt it will win shed loads of awards, but for me it just didn't live up to all the hype.
Hugh Jackman will be performing Suddenly as part of the Les Mis Oscars performance as well, and lots of Les Mis alumni (mostly ensemble) are taking part

^ I've just been told that the red carpet will be roughly midnight and the main show will be 1/1:30 onwards  I didn't think that it would be so late.
I think I might try and catch highlights on Youtube.
Watched the permformance before I got ready this morning. I absolutely love how Aaron almost barged through everyone and took center stage for his little bit with Eddie And he was wearing red and black! Amazing!
And yay for Anne. It was pretty much a given, but you can never be sure. A clean sweep for her!

I wonder if Anne will sing 'I Dreamed A Dream' alone (then joined by the cast for 'one day more').
I really wanted 'On My Own' too But to be fair, it's still pretty impressive

Definately.

The person that in my opinion was the turkey of the show was Amada Seyfried (just no)

Please, please, please let Colm be there. He IS Les Mis to me.
I'll take anyone else except Nick bloody Jonas.
Ramin Karimloo is apparently also performing. My favourite Enjolras. Ramin >>>>>>> Aaron.
Anyone know where and when I can watch it online?
I don't think you can as of yet, only option being to download it but I never trust the downloading thing.
I hope it does well tonight, I can't wait to see them singing live
Me too! I don't remember the last time that I was so excited about a film. I love it.
Beautiful.
Mine too
I'll be hunting for somewhere to watch online as well. I doubt there'll be anything until the red carpet starts at midnight our time
I think I might try and catch highlights on Youtube.
Well it is in Los Angeles, they're 8 hours behind us, and the east coast USA is 5 hours behind and they'll want it to air in primetime there
It's been recorded from a TV, but it's quite clear.
And yay for Anne. It was pretty much a given, but you can never be sure. A clean sweep for her!
