They did really well to finish in just over 4 hours, considering they had not trained for it and had only just got off the plane fron Ireland!
Yep well done to John and Edward, they just got off the plane in LA, saw an advert for the marathon and decided to do it. with less than four hours sleep ..and no proper running gear
They were long distance runners before they appeared in XFactor, but they haven't trained since...

They tweeted a picture with their medals http://twitpic.com/8y8djr they're pretty happy and proud as they should be, it's quite amazing to run 26.2 miles without planning it and basically right after landing from their flight.
Yesterday, they had taken a flight to New York, followed by another to LA.
They then caught about 3 hours of sleep, and breakfasted on some cereal!
With no pre-training, no build up, no special nutritional programme, they then don swimming gear and totally unsuitable trainers ... and proceed to run a marathon!
After the marathon, they went off to attend the premiere of Tara Reid's new movie. After that, they will hop on a plane and head for Stockholm!!:eek:
Their stamina and general fitness must be phenomenal. Congrats to them!

It's typical Jedward though : those guys are legends
I'm just gob-smacked. I love those guys and they have done themselves proud.....WELL DONE BOYS!!! They put the moaners & whiners who back out at the last minute on a whim to shame.
You so want it all to be a spoof don't you. Them entering and completing the marathon proves how much tenacity John and Edward Grimes have — they're made of The Right Stuff.

And their hair probably added an hour onto their time as well!

They're even singing some of their greatest hits for the interviewer while running
they were spotted running at mile two and at the end finishing, filmed at mile 19 singing! and got given medals for completing.
before x factor they were pretty serious competative long distance cross country runners. Their concerts keep them pretty fit!
well they didn't twitpic the chaffing, only the sunburn and medals.
People in the race tweeting that Jedward had just passed them.
