Stephen Mulhern: What's The Appeal?

Whenever I put on ITV he's there like a vile STD. Infecting my television with his unfunny and awful presenting.

He's ruined Catchphrase and This Morning's Hub is terrible when he's on. Britain's Got More Talent, Big Star's Little Star and Sunday Side Up would be so much better if this 'man' wasn't on them.

It seems being friends with Cowell get's you a shed load of work on ITV. Can't they find any better presenters?

He is suitable for holiday camp entertaining, which is where he started, I believe.

I'd like to know who he knows in TV-land, to have got where he is now on very little talent and a huge amount of annoyance.

He's a younger version/lookalike of Philip Schofield, another face who is on our screens FAR too much.

Never heard of him, sounds like he appears in shows I'd avoid like the plague anyway.

I don't mind him. Perfectly acceptable, harmless host.

As for him 'ruining' Catchphrase, he's far better IMO that most of the others who've presented it. Roy Walker's tenure is terribly overrated.

I can't stand the man. It's a wonder he is able to get through the stage door as his head has grown so big since he first started. He thinks he is so funny too, and he's not.

He's the main reason I watch Britain's Got More Talent, he's a very funny, likeable host IMO.

I think of him as a redcoat entertainer, in the guise of a mainstream entertainer.
He's harmless though, and I do kind of like him.

Agree with the OP , he is the worst presenter by far, don't know how he gets the gigs he must be cheap as well as slimy, smarmy and awful, just one above Andy Peters who is his clone.

Don't particularly like him, but comparing him to a "vile STD"? Dear me.

When it's rejected by Ant and Dec and it's even too lowbrow for Vernon then Stephen's yer man.

    Andy Peters is black.
    Stephen Mulhern is, erm... white.

He looks like that android which Jude Law played in the film A.I.
He's looks all shiny, pristine and brand new.
As though he's fresh out of the generic TV presenter clone factory.

I'm not a huge fan myself, but I don't understand why you felt the need to say 'man' like that.

I like him, I think he's good fun. He's quite good on Britain's Got More Talent (the only thing I watch on ITV2!).

Who when on Paul O'Grady's chat show recently said he did not even know who Buster Keaton was, when the name came up in conversation. He sat there clueless. I found that incredible, and so did O'Grady who at first thought he was joking. He wasn't.
