What other medium would get away with this? Ok it flashes up that it is non game footage but could an advert for a cd contain non music from the cd as if it were music from it?

Any game trailer or advert that shows pre-rendered footage rather than actual gameplay is just a waste of time in my view.

    "Normal" videogames do it too.

And I've seen trailers of films use clips that never made it to the final cut of the film.

Some mobile games are so crap and samey that they need to create a false ad full of excitement to sell it.

I dont mind though. I hate 99.9% of those mobile games so their fake ads don't influence me eitherway.

I only have two words to describe them - they're annoying. Sadly you can't avoid seeing them on some of the sites you visit.
