Agree, don't know why they felt the need to hook up with someone soo quickly, they should have just made her single for a while but they are so obsessed with stupid love triangles they couldn't resist a Joey/Lauren/Jake one.
I'm really into the background of Jake at the moment. I don't think we're meant to think of it as a romance at this time - I think it's more about being intrigued by Jake and also help for Lauren and giving her someone to talk to.
I do wonder if it's purposeful that every time Jake comes out of the counselling he looks very emotional or whether Jamie has just acted this way because it's what Jake should probably look like.
I like it. The chemistry is much better with Jake than it was with Joey. I like that they can share jokes and the alcoholic experience with each other. As for the age thing (at least it's not her cousin which I personally think is worse) it will make an interesting dynamic to the storyline - Max isn't going to be too thrilled.
I don't think it's meant to be a 'romance' as such...I think there's something hidden and dodgy about Jake, like he's got ulterior motives. I starting to wonder whether this is linked to Carl or whether it's completely separate.
Much prefer Lauren and Jake to Lauren and Joey, when Joey went to comfort Abi last night I couldn't see that as an innocent comfort hug between cousins considering what had gone on with Lauren.
While Joey is very dull, I still don't like Lauren/Jake. For a start, two recovering addicts would be immediately told by their councilor to stay away and not start a relationship this soon in to (certainly Lauren's) treatment.

He looks as old if not older than Max.
jake may as well have "im a wrong un"stamped to his forhead i dont really understand why lauren would be intrested in someone so old and seedy looking
Apart from that I quite like him and his little friendship with Lauren.
I wish he had been cast as a love interest for Danny instead but long term i think himself and Sadie have a history.

Agree about the lack of chemistry and his character is so dull. He looks even older than her dad too.
I am calling it now some kind of Mad May storyline again, involving the wife who may or may not be Sadie.
