  I think it's a bit stupid as there's obviously a lot of talent in Liverpool, 4 of the 9 finals have had someone from Liverpool in it plus the live finals having a lot of people from Liverpool in.
  
  I know Manchester isn't far but they could be shooting themselves in the foot with this.

  Are the Birmingham ones back? Scrapping them was a bigger kick in the teeth!

  Are there really auditions in Liverpool every year?
  
  I thought Rebecca Ferguson has auditioned in Manchester in 2010, hadn't she?

  I think its a lot to do with amount of support people from Liverpool tend to get
  
  Voting for them because they are from Liverpool as opposed to talent reasons

  The cities are really not relevant.
  
  When it gets to that stage everyone is invited to audition, the producers can decide how talented or not they want to make a city.
  
  And even in post, they'll edit it to give a certain impression.
