Can someone please help? Skype is supposed to be free but when I go on their website it talks about credit and prices. I want to download on my mobile as my laptop is old and doesn't have a camera or microphone but don't want to pay for the service. I can obviously get Wi-Fi on my mobile and also have mobile internet which I can use as long as I keep within my mobile data limits. Any info would be great. Thanks.

    skype to skype calls are free.

    Skype to mobile or landline numbers cost money.

    You need a microphone to make skype voice calls.

    You need a camera to make skype video calls.

    Without a microphone or a camera, you are restricted to skype messaging sevice.

    So Skype from my mobile to Skype on a laptop would be free then? Sorry silly question I know - I just want to make sure I use it correctly,

    Yes, unless you "dial" a number, Skype is free.
