Oh no, maybe more problems with that disliked thing called choice.
There is now an S4 camera phone. So they even beat everyone to the obvious 'Zoom' name too?

The Active is coming as well:

If you can live with an 8MB camera instead of a 13MB one - and I imagine many people can - then this looks like a pretty decent bit of kit, whether you're exercising or not.

I have doubts that a 5" phone on an armband makes for a good exercise gadget. Bad example somewhat.

It does sometime seem weird that most phones are not waterproof.

The active version should have been the main s4 phone.

Is anybody else having the issue with the phone heating up when being used? The S2 used to do this quite a lot, S3 the problem seemed to be solved but its back again now for sure.

A coincidence that we have some hotter days?

I have never had a smartphone that has not heated up.
Power usage in almost every electrical device known to man is reflected by heat generation.

That's where the CPU is - most of the middle-to-bottom of the handset is battery, all the circuitry is concentrated towards the top.

I'm sure I remember reading something about how hot the S4 gets, I can't remember where I saw it though.

Samsung have confirmed there will be no more S4 spin-off variants. Some good news at last!

''With the arrival of the Galaxy S4 Mini, Galaxy S4 Active and Galaxy S4 Zoom we can finally say the Galaxy S4 range is complete,'' DJ Lee, President and Head of Sales and Marketing for Samsung’s IT and Mobile Communications Division said.

Anyone know when the update is due for unlocked/unbranded phones? How many of the UK carriers already have it?

Does anyone know when the S4 is likely to drop slightly in price? or if any sales are coming up? My contract is up mid August (S2 currently) and I don't want to pay more than my current £27 a month.

There are £27 deals around already. It usually does mean you have to skip carrier, unless you are very good at negotiation.
