So pleased to see the excellent Tanya Arnold getting more national exposure this week. She is doing the sport on BBC Breakfast News from Wimbledon. A very good sports presenter

Agreed. She did a great show from Quins RL a few months back.

    Has she cut her hair?

I know this sounds awful, but we thought she was a trannie when we saw and heard her on the Superleague Show a while back

.... we thought she was a trannie...
And I thought the problem with trannies was too little, not too much, bass:D

You don't need the word 'North' in the title there.... :D

She scrubs up well these days, but still enjoy old Harry's mad socks on the SLS.

Doing a great job ob BBc Breakfast sports bulletins this week. It makes a change to hear a soft Yorkie accent - rather than a Scottish one

Any relief from Chris Hollins is to be welcomed - they should try out a few more people. But it is rather unfortunate she has such a deep voice:eek:

There's nothing wrong with her voice.
I'd rather her than some squeaky thing.

Aside from her gruff voice is there any good reason why they have this woman presenting the Rugby League Highlights show .

Surely it would make more sense to have an ex player or known rugby presenter. ?

She took it over when Harry Gration was ill a few years ago and she kept it.

Too be honest she is so annoying she laughs at everything and shouts to make her funny remark heard.

Thank goodness she doesn't present cover on Look North anymore.

She presents BBC's Super League Show EVERY WEEK of the season. If you don't know her then you don't follow RL.

She is a known rugby presenter! Ex-players do not always make great presenters, most don't.

    Better her than Riley.

History tells us that former players/athletes do not necessarily become good presenters but the image of rugby league is very much a macho man's world and a female presenter does seem a little atypical.

On the radio Caroline Wyatt, the BBC defence correspondent, sounds like a man as well.

The BBC excels in having female presenters who are on the verge of changing sex.

    Something in the water coolers?

Maybe they put in the water to make their male presenters less effeminate. But it's backfired.
