OK,

Lets diffuse the situation here, and have only British Celebrities on our screens,

Would save an awful lot of:

They don't get our humour!

They only want the money!

They are actually quite entertaining,but,we don't want them to win!

They are not allowed to insult our national treasures!!

Channel 5 !!

    What bl**dy sane American would want to put themselves forward. Any American with half a braincell would be seen as a threat by what passes as Z List in this green and pleasant land these days. And God forbid that they would be able to spell 'pansy', Because the Brit Z listers would interpret anybody who can spell 'pansy' or who doesn't think America is in Siberia as being an 'overconfident cocky American, who, by being able to spell pansy is bordering on the arrogant'.:D
