Travelling around I listen to a lot of podcasts but have pretty much exhausted the BBC ones I want to listen to. I have tried a few others but have found nothing I want to subscribe to. I am reasonably broard minded but dont like anything too inane.

Any recommendations from anyone would be gratefully recieved. Ta

If you like the man, and you're interested in environmental issues and politics, and enjoy antiestablishment opinions, Harry Shearer's Le Show is a good listen. http://harryshearer.com/le-show/

For fans of the slightly inane, I thoroughly recommend the following:

    Frank Skinner on Absolute
    Hamish and Andy
    Josh Widdicombe on XFM

I do quite a bit of travelling and have listened to a number of podcasts over the year, and for me Frank Skinner on Absolute is still the best.

And Absolute do podcasts brilliantly, well produced and regularly updated every week without fail.

If you go to YouTube and type something like 'how to download the Ricky Gervais show' you can get all the Ricky Steve & Karl XFM shows. Like the Iain lee ones on LBC they're old but extremely enjoyable & free.

If you want funny ones I recommend,

    The Bugle- Satire
Answer Me This- Slightly bizarre question based fun
Football Ramble- Funny and the best football podcast out there

I also think if you want just interesting things to listen to then the two best are

NPR's Planet Money- Incredibly interesting podcast about economics and general world issues tackled in a really offbeat and engaging way

This American Life- Incredible online documentary following several stories grouped around one theme each week. Nothing else like it, or near as good IMHO
