The EP is available for £1.99 on iTunes.

If a large proportion of the public now have media players then why go to HMV, for a physical copy, when you can just download it (assuming you actually want it).

It's at number 31, so I guess some but not a load of people want it right now.

What's the point of that branch of HMV having a shit load of these cd's if they aren't going to shift any?.Just because something is for charity doesn't mean a shop must stock it.

From a PR point of view they should have taken a few for each shop and just had them by the till, many people may have bought a copy on seeing it and if they only took a few initially HMV look good to those customers and also dont lose out by being left with loads of stock.

There are also lots of people who may not know about the single, after all its hardly been heavily promoted like the releases of the top singers , so seeing it in the shop may give them the chance to actually know about it.

Suggesting that the Army should be supported by charity, rather than through government taxation, seems to be more insulting to me....

Just to pick up on that point, HFH doesn't "support the army".

They provide funding for things that are outside outside the military's remit.

Click HERE for more info' about how the money is spent.

Considering Help for Heros has denied funding for projects that will primarily deal with Royal Marines and Navy wounded rather than the army they seem to be the ones insulting troops.

Apparently 90% of singles sell in download format.

This record is an insult to British servicemen and women, Why the hell would you put out a song about the American army to raise money for the British ?

I notice that even Help for Heroes are not bothering to sell this song so why should we buy it when it is just a pathetic attempt by an ageing rock bank to get back in the charts on the back of the sort of person that reads the Sun/Mail because the BNP tells them too.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jingoism (We invented it, not the US)

We invented the term to insult people who believed it.
Its firmly an American trait in today's world.
The British army has always been composed of the "scum of the earth" and looked down on as such. Its good that things have changed these days and it is instead seen as a respectable job but we should not go as far as the Americans have and get into all this support our troops, speaking against the army is being anti-American, etc.... shit.

Haven't read all this thread so apologies if someone's already said this but HMV DO stock it actually. My husband (a life-long fan of SQ) bought it from HMV Meadowhall at the weekend.:)

If that branch has had no call from the customers regarding this single. Why bring something in if there is no demand?.

As for people not knowing about it.It's not exactly HMV fault that they don't know about it.HMV isn't the only music news source out there.
