Panasonic TV and home cinema synchronised switch on

Hope someone can help, I'm in big trouble with the OH. We use the Sky remote to switch on our Panasonic TV and at the same time, the surround sound switched on also. I was trying to play a music CD through the home cinema, it didn't work so I pressed lots of buttons etc. 
Couldn't get it to work so gave up. Only thing is now the home cinema doesn't come on with the telly, and the Sky remote turns up the TV volume, not the home cinema. I've obviously done something but Lord knows what !
Any help would be much appreciated
