McVey is showing herself to be as utterly clueless as Miller.

Many people are fearful because the government are using the same type of tick box assessment that has failed so spectacularly for ESA.

They are fearful because 2 of the 3 main highly lucrative contracts have been awarded to the same company that has already made over 150,000 confirmed mistakes re fit for work recommendations.

They are fearful because an estimated 500,000 will no longer be eligible for this vital support.

They are fearful because the stated 20% cuts target for working age claimants is completely arbitrary.

Thousands are fearful that they will lose the ability to work if they are one of the estimated 100,000 who will lose their motability cars.

Many others are fearful of losing vital care support and vital aids and equipment through reduced awards.

Many others are fearful because of the very questionable academic model of disability that has been adopted.

Add in the lies from coalition ministers re the increase in DLA claimants, supposed overpayments and supposed support for PIP from disabled organisations via the DLA consultation, and it is not surprising that so many people are worried.

McVey claims that this could be "positive", but of course she fails to give any reasons as to why.

That's the BLOODY TORIES for You. They are Cu.ts, Sorry No they are not that usefull:)

Thank you, an interesting if scary read, I do not take everything from this source as gospel (though much more credible than the governemnt rhetoric) but a goiod starting point for further reading and reflection.

    whats crazy about this.
one of the press reviewers on sky news just made a glib comment about the 170 billion spent on Welfare per year.Maybe he would like the breakdown on that its been the perfect cover for This Goverment let everyone think its all spent on con artists and people just not wanting to work.

Winterfuel payments.Old age pensions come out of that also with people living longer they are paying longer and larger amount of people claiming yet that entire section of outgoing is overlooked because they know screw with the Pensioners and thats the end of the Goverment. So This Balls about needing to get welfare spending under control is just that total Balls unless they are going to Tackle the welfare system as a whole they are picking on groups of people within the Welfare system.Because they can its the 'acceptable' groups

"Atos must “get it right” this time, Ms McVey said". Don't you think they should have made sure they were getting it right before awarding them another contract. Oh! and who is she to say we shouldn't be afraid of the changes when she will not be the one suffering the pain of it all. B****y Tory t**t. Thick as two short ones and all the warmth of a frozen turkey.

For her to say PIP will be a positive thing for disabled people is a insult. It will be anything but positive, more agony for disabled people.
