Does the full moon affect you?

i was talking to someone who works for a local police force and he mentioned that during a full moon the number of missing person reports increases, as does the number of people brought into custody acting up.

Perhaps there really is a connection between the full moon and erratic behaviour - if there is I wonder what the connection is.

The next full moon is 19 October 01:37

Only if the person doing the 'full moon' spreads the cheeks of their arse.

There does seem to be more silliness and bad driving on the road when there's a full moon.

I didn't think about it until an old friend told me, her husband was a copper and he said it made a difference.

I used to work in a hospital shop, round the corner from the psych unit and the staff there used to say that a full moon was the worst - it really did affect the patients behaviour. Or maybe they were winding us up.....

I do find it harder to get to sleep if there is a full moon.

There is definitely a strong correlation between 'the full moon effect' and irrational thinking.

Isn't there a theory that as the moon controls tides, and our bodies are made up of a high percentage of water, that the full moon must have some effect on us?

No idea if there is anything in it though :confused::confused:

He is mistaken. This is a myth.

I've heard the same theory as to why there are alot more births on a full moon-the slight change in pressure can just be what women need to break the waters or something

    Indeed.

    And yelping and panting.

So acquaintances of mine have told me, of course.

They weren't winding you up, I worked as a Casualty receptionist nightshifts whilst at college and believe me you saw some weird people and behaviour at full moon, and in the hotel trade you can always tell a full moon is coming as the build up to it sees all the nutters crawling out of the woodwork.

The moon is responsible for the tides, which is water, and as human are made mostly of water it seems reasonable that it could have an effect
