Looking at the voting stats he was 8% behind Malena in the televote...I don't believe he'd have been able to pull that back if their draws were reversed. Although interestingly he was so far ahead with the juries he would have won that final under the current system.

    At long, long last!

Probably in time for the BBC's announcement.

    Oooh shiny new thread!

Shameless reposting, but part 55 deserves to suffer the Sandra heartbreak!

"Sandra's finale performance is up on youtube if you want to upset yourselves!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTvw2tmv2HM

How can you say no to that happy little face! :("

Watching Sandra's performance again, how stunning is the backing singer on the left.

I'm surprised she didn't even top the votes...even on just the public vote she wouldn't have got to the superfinal...:o

The biggest injustice this year. And probably since Nanne. :(

I imagine we'd all be just as puzzled even if we were all fluent in Estonian!

I just realized that every song so far is at least partially in English except for Italy's. That makes me sad. Hearing all the different languages was one of my favorite parts about Eurovision. At least we can count on Portugal to sing in Portuguese.

Not a chance! I may pull a quick cuppa break around ... ooh, I don't know 7.25? The kitchen has a telly :p

Of course we all know it's only going to be a 10-12 min program that will be looped, so hopefully I will catch the last 5 re-runs of it!

    Let the dissecting begin...

A lot of jury votes must have gone to Lenna because she was so close previously (assuming everyone knows each other)...whereas Sandra had been there before (were there any other RUs in the contest)...oh if only they had that mentality in Romania...;-)

Wonder if the Sunday papers have anything on Eurovision. With the video recording meant to be tomorrow we should start to hear some details tomorrow night.

Sadly i'm working tomorrow night and Monday night :( Hopefully by midnight though it will be on iplayer or failing that youtube. Don't want to read everyone elses thoughts on the song before I get to listen to it :p

A new thread! I thought it would never happen. :)

France tomorrow, here is hoping it's Twin Twin for the win win.

Hallelujah!! :D. Did that usurp part 3 as the biggest GDT we've ever had? Bring on Monday now!

If it was purely based on studio versions I'd be 100% behind Twin Twin, but I have my doubts about them live. I really like the new version of Joanna's song and she's a great singer (although she really needs to sort that hair out) so I'd be happy with either of them winning tomorrow. And as I'm pretty confident Destan is a non-starter I should hopefully get at least one song I like out of this weekend. ;)

    New thread! Yay!

Looking forward to France tomorrow, wish I was watching it with my bf though as he is fluent in French...might need some translation!

Semi 2 is looking pretty full now!

    Woo! New thread. :)

Just got back... anybody be so kind as to summarise since 6.30pm? Any catfights? I've seen the results... and sad for Martin and JEM :(

I wish I had listened to Sandra's song beforehand so I could feel sad for it not qualifying. Any Martina moments? How did Paula and Ovi sing? Did she hit *the note*??

I was watching this performance earlier: http://youtu.be/HsfOXjcQ-MU and my dad was asleep on the sofa.. at *that note* he woke up and said "Who on earth is that?!!??" LOL. I'm not sure how it was the favourite... Playing With Fire is SUCH a good song as well..
