Got an mpaa R rating as well, meaning it's likely going to be 15 not 12A here. Bit of a surprise give you'd assume almost everything remotely big budget has to be 12A in 2015.

I wonder if it'll be OK to see this without having seen any of the previous Mad Max films.
I imagine so. It would be a bit silly, and possibly counter-productive, to have to see the first three to make sense of it, especially given the time difference (thunderdome - '85?). Plus it's playing to a large new audience. Shouldn't be any problems.

Relieved to finally see a trailer that gives some indication of plot and dialogue...was just not feeling the wide-eyed, fanboy wankery that seemed to accompany the earlier trailers.
As great as the stunts and effects may have looked, I certainly don't want to sit through a whole, solid movie of just that.

It looks like it takes elements from all the previous movies and has amalgamated them in a modern re-hash of the characters and Mad Max universe. I hear Tom Hardy has signed on for more depending on how this one does, so it looks as if Miller wants to re-establish the franchise, which isn't a bad thing.
I'm looking forward to watching Mad Max Fury Road when it's released. I also read that there is a 6 minute clip of it before screenings of Fast & Furious 7 in the clip.Not sure if that's true though!
Although the film looks interesting, there is just so much stuff in the trailer and the hype machine is so overblown for this, that I have my doubts about how good it will actually be.
It was filmed about 2 years and has been gathering dust while being tinkered with. There's just something about it that makes me think it might be quite empty.

I think it looks mental. I said it before, but I can't help feeling that George Miller has finally had the money and technology to bring his vision of the Mad Max universe to the big screen.
