In my film collection I have
City of God
Elite Squad (2 films)
El mariachi (not sure you would count that one ?)
Pan's Labyrinth
To be honest I dont know much about latin films. I do purchase a number of what they call world titles which Japan, China, France feature in a lot of films but you don't see many from South America at all.
Pans and City of God are the only ones to feature in a top 100 of world cinema titles. I dont think their films seem to work quite so well outside their own target market.
The Secret in their Eyes ('09) - Oscar winner
Innocent Voices ('04)
Lower City ('05)
Foreign Land ('96)
Sin Nombre ('09)
Chico & Rita ('10)
Las Acacias ('11)
Maria Full of Grace ('04)
All worth seeing, Maria probably my favourite of them, folllowed by Lower City and Sin Nombre. Most have a realistic, documentary edge and relate the hardships of everyday life.

Yes, I'd say it's in my top ten favourite movies of all time.
