Probably the OP, hence the creation of the thread. And you and me for entering the thread and commenting, surely? :p

I love this song and it really deserves number one.
I care if they get to number one... because I'm a fan of thiers... and even though I agree chart positions (especially singles) aren't important, the music execs seem to think they are, so if they get number one, that means they've still got it, they're still a popular band, and its a popular song, so they will keep making decent records like this one.

The UK charts carry very little significance to anyone outside the industry anymore...

However, it will be good to see a great pop tune back at the top of the pile!

I Hope Plain White T's are number one, and take down that 'song' off the No.1 Spot

Do like Sugababes new one though. :D

How did you work that one out.

Shayne is selling in the shops and is sure to sell well on a Saturday, the Babes have downloads only.

We won't really know until the chart show.

... and Shayne has won the race in Ireland.

Biggest jump to #1. Sugababes entered the chart at #35 last week and so to go from there to #1 this week would be the biggest jump to #1 in chart history. :)

chart position last week was on the remixes though wasn't it?

I thought the radio edit has only been available this week.

I beg to differ, infinity to #1 is bigger.

I quite like it - very catchy - never in a million years did I think it would do so well but I'm pleased for them. Umbrella was at Number 1 for 10 weeks and I'd call that bland.

I hate "chart history" being mentioned in things like this. Downloads have been included for a very short period of time, in relation to the charts themselves.
