Oh hang on, I got that a bit wrong, they're playing through aren't they. 5-7 now at time of posting.

Allen prevails 9-8 as does Higgins over Dott. Selby out to Maguire whilst Robbo marches on to the quarters.

Enjoyed the Higgins match... Dott had his chance but blew it ( with the help of an unfortunate kick) and Higgins pounced like a poacher.

Because he was found not guilty & has served a ban of 6 months for bringing the game into disrepute.

Absolute joke that Docherty and Davis (when he commentates) get these gigs ahead of Mr. Everton.

    I like these commentators
    Virgo
    Taylor
    Thorne
    Everton

    these are passable
    Foulds
    Parrot

    detest
    Griffiths
    Davis
    Docherty

    Probably missed a few regulars.:D

Personally I can't stand Parrot commentating. All he does is criticise the player's every shot.
It's not like he is the worlds greatest player himself is he?

They must have ummed and ahhed for about three seconds before grudgingly welcoming him back with open arms and champagne.

What a scam to get away with. He must have been splitting his sides behind the scenes.

I know this is a bit late to ask, but does anyone have a clip of John Higgins' entrance since his ban ?

I can't find it - but there is a video of his first frame.

Was hardly anything shown. It was the second match on the Saturday so no introductions from Rob Walker, just him and Stephen Lee walking out together. Quite a decent applause

Thought I'd tune into the snooker to see what's going on.

The scoreboard's broken down. Oh well :D

It gave Bunter Murphy a chance to go off and eat a couple more pies!! :D

    Go Robbo. :)

I thought he looked a little less heavy this afternoon. He obviously had not had his lunch. :)

Not happy. Although I do like Shaun Murphy, I was really rooting for Robertson to win tonight. Bet that delay for the scoreboard glitch didn't help his concentration, either.
Shame Mark Joyce has lost, as well. Surprisingly good player, and I'm not really a fan of Mark Williams.

Higgins and Murphy in the final, for me. Murphy to win. :)

Hope Higgins wins...I can't believe both Selby and Robertson are out :):):):) Usually one of them stays right through to the semi final just to get on my nerves.

    OH MY GOD!!!

Has Robertson got no shame? I just saw his post match interview where he basically said Murphy won by luck by missing a lot of balls and getting away with it by leaving them awkward and safe. :D

Erm....Robertson that's how you won your world championship so you'd be best keeping your mouth shut. Every game you missed pots and fluked it safe where others did the same and left you with reds miraculously rolling over to the pocket!

That genuinely annoyed me but thankfully Murphy (who I also dislike) told him straight.

When was the last time the last 4 in a ranking event was one from each of the 4 home nations ?

    Possibly never

.....Back when Northern Ireland had top players like Higgins and Dennis Taylor Scotland never had anyone did they? Don't remember Murdo MacLeod making many semi-finals :p

It's quite likely you had an Englishman, Irishman, Welshman and Scotsman when Ken Doherty was in his pomp, but of course he's from Dublin, not Northern Ireland....
