Last nights episode was absolute drivel, and in really bad taste. Were we supposed to find it funny Jamsie getting his you know what sliced off. Rubbish!

I haven't seen the new series yet, but I'll watch it soon.

But I do love watching the old episodes of that and Taggart etc, just for a laugh at old Glasgow lol.

Tonight's episode was a cracker and a return to form - such a shame that the BBC feel they need a Tory government to do Rab C any justice

I disagree Series 9 was very poor but this series ten has been brilliant back to it's best. Every episode has been brilliant it lost it's way being off air in the last series but this one is back to it's best.

Anybody notice the guest appearance from Gavin Mitchell (barman from Still Game?)

    Last week's episode (Cuts) was a Scottish Comedian's re-union.
Moray Hunter (Absolutely, Mr. Don and Mr. George) played the Doctor.
Andy Gray (Naked Video) played the guy in the bed next to Jamsie.
Susan Calman (mostly know in England for appearences on The News Quiz) played the girl who had Jamsie's baby.
Also, Julie Wilson Nimmo, who played the Policewoman (DI), was in Balamory.

Why has Rab's granddaughter been completely dubbed the last 2 episodes?

Nobody else has in any scenes with Peaches in it, but she has.

It's still funnier than most of the other stuff on tv.

Should cancel show now I think. When I gets to the point of smoking crack for fun then I guess it's starting to scrape the barrel. There is nothing funny about smoking crack and sends wrong message (so does alcohol)

That happened when they brought it back after its hiatus, it is a sad remnant of a very good comedy.

I thought this series has been excellent.

And has the previous poster not seen much comedy? All comedys have some serious themes have you never seen Peep Show on Channel 4?

Rab C has tackled all topics for years in this show.

Can see where you're coming from, but by your logic, there is nothing funny about war, but two of the best sitcoms ever were set in the war, Blackadder Goes Forth (WW1) and Dad's Army (WW2).

Didn't Labour didn't give Rab things to moan about lol.
I'd love to see an environmental green issues rant,or an EU rant from Rab

I think he had a rant about not having the same opportunities as a blind disabled Muslim woman! But Rab will always hate the Tories. Rabs do.

Why on earth did they revive this, I'm watching it now and dont find it funny, they should have left it where it finished off back in 1999. By the way, I have the collection from that era.

I just finished watching, was ok-better than the last series. Although rab and jamesie et al can still be funny, I think something has definately been lost without the two original sons. I have the original set up to 99 too, and watching them after the new series, you can spot the difference- but if you only have freeview, this is still actually one of the better shows on tv. Modern comedy series are almost non existent nowadays, with the likes of phone in tv haven taken over since the early 2000s (thanks mr cowell, amongst others). I do wonder if rab has had his day, arguably toned down for a modern brit audience, since a show featuring two alcoholics is probably more seriously looked at today than ever before. But.. isnt that SLIGHTLY IRONIC when we now have phone-in karaoke/cooking/celebs-stuck-in-the-jungle competition shows now hogging our screens? They all use the same gambling format of getting the viewers to call in and vote, essentially doing the same thing that half of those annoying pop up ads on the web want you to do..! ...and I havent even begun to mention the non stop bingo and casino commercials that now hog our tv screens in between such programs!

ps Im not sure about the accent thing some have mentioned, as I have relations in london that understand this show perfectly, and theyre definately not scots.. or alcoholics, lol :)
